Richmond Summer Camp

Overview:
This program offers a full-day summer camp experience where participants engage in intensive English language classes combined with interactive cultural and recreational activities. The schedule is designed to maximize learning and personal growth while providing fun and engaging experiences.

Key Features:

  • Duration: Options for 3- or 6-week sessions.

  • Dates: July 7 - 25, 2025 / July 28- August 15, 2025

  • Ages: Appropriate for students from grade 3 to grade 12

  • Daily Schedule: Classes run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including academic instruction and field activities.

  • Curriculum:

    • Morning: Focus on English language skills and academic subjects through interactive lessons.

    • Afternoon: Engaging activities such as guided field trips, creative workshops, and hands-on projects.

    • FGYAI Competition Day: campers engage in friendly team competitions that test problem-solving, innovation, and collaborative skills, integrating real-world challenges inspired by FGYAI concepts.

  • Additional Option: Homestay arrangements are available for enhanced cultural immersion for older students.

Example: In a recent session, campers participated in immersive classes and enjoyed guided excursions, all within a secure and supportive environment.

Required Documents

  • A recent photo of the applicant taken in the last 12 months

  • Picture page of the applicant's Passport or Personal Identification

  • Picture page AND the signature page of the signing parent's Passport or Personal Identification

  • Signed Declaration of Eligibility.

Pre-Academic Summer Program

Pitt Meadows Pre-Academic Summer Program 3 week program is designed to prepare students for their studies in Canada while experiencing the best of Canadian culture. Students will be oriented to different aspects of Canadian culture and focus on enhancing English ability. Emphasis will be placed on:

  • critical thinking

  • group work

  • writing

  • vocabulary

  • speaking

  • reading

  • Canadian culture

  • FGYAI Competition Day

Program Dates

2025 – August 9th or 10th (Student Arrivals) and ends August 31st.

  • Applications and payment must be received minimum 6 weeks prior the start of the program

Summer Immersion Program

Immerse yourself in a diverse learning environment with local students. The program offers integrated classes with Canadian students. Classes will be taught by qualified district teachers.

  • Program length is 3 weeks

  • For current students in our District grade 9 – 12

  • Classes are designed to help students develop their speaking, reading and writing skills

  • Earn academic credits while you enjoy your Canadian summer

  • Lessons are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM (with a lunch break)

  • Friday afternoon local activity for International Students

  • Saturday Full Day Excursions in greater Vancouver included

  • FGYAI Competition Day inclued

Program Dates:

From July 2nd to 23rd (2025)
